This project will include the full redesign and reconstruction of the University Park Metra Electric Station. This project will improve aesthetics, stormwater management, and the overall condition of the facility. Timeline Phase I Engineering to be complete by 2024. This project included the resurfacing of University Parkway between the Speedway Gas Station Entrance and the Metra Station Drive. This project improved the safety of this critical intersection though additional improvements will be necessary to further improve conditions. This project will include intersection realignments, a signal installation, sidepath construction, drainage improvements, and other safety related improvements at the intersection of Governors Highway and University Parkway.
